Hello, OCS Family! Read below for all the latest news and updates from the district.

Clear View Adoption Ceremony

On Monday, February 5, Clear View Elementary School made official its partnership with Wounded Warrior Battalion East.

This partnership was forged through the Adopt-a-School program, which promotes mutually beneficial relationships between the military and schools by allowing military units to “adopt” a school.

Clear View Elementary School Principal Denise Gartner said, “We are so excited to be able to partner with Wounded Warrior Battalion East. It’s a great opportunity for the Marines and sailors there to come and work with our students, but also, it’s an opportunity for our students.”

Congratulations, Clear View Elementary!

Read more about the adoption on the OCS website: Clear View Elementary Military Adoption.

MATHCOUNTS competitor

Middle school mathletes from nine teams across the county came together Tuesday, February 6, to put their math skills to the test at the annual MATHCOUNTS competition.

At this regional competition, students participated in four rounds of challenges, both as teams and individually. Rounds included the “sprint round,” the “target round,” the “team round,” and a fast-paced challenge called the “ciphering round.”

Thank you to all who participated, and congratulations to the winners!

Last weekend, students from across OCS participated in the All-County Orchestra Concert.

The event showcased the hard work and dedication of our students and gave them the opportunity to share their passion for music with like-minded students.

Congratulations on a job well done to all participants!
