Ms. Carla Bradshaw

Greetings Osprey families, I want to take a minute to introduce myself to you and share a bit of my story. I was born here in Onslow County but moved around the eastern part of the state with my father’s job with Duke Energy.  I studied accounting at the University of Mount Olive, got married and had a beautiful daughter.  As she grew, I felt the pull to a career I had once considered, education.  So, I decided to work towards my Elementary Education license and worked as a teacher assistant and then a Kindergarten and Second grade teacher for approximately 10 years.  At that point, I became interested in the administrative side of education and returned to East Carolina University to work towards my Master of School Administration degree and became the Assistant Principal at Hunter’s Creek Elementary in 2008.  I then served at Swansboro High School and White Oak High School as an assistant principal until 2022 when I became the Principal at Jacksonville Commons Elementary where I once taught.  I am very excited to explore education from the virtual perspective and assist students and families in their K-12 journey.  Please feel free to call me at the OVS office at 910-938-2013 or email me at the following address Carla.bradshaw@onslow.k12.nc.us.  I want to help in any way that I can.
