Mrs. Lianne Foster
I was born and raised in Massachusetts where I lived all my life until our spontaneous decision to move to Jacksonville in August of 2020. My wife and I have two children, a 7 1/2 year old daughter and a 3 1/2 year old son along with our dog, Buddy! We enjoy the fun activities for children and families in the area, as well as the bike trails, beautiful parks and playgrounds. We just love being able to be outside all year round!!
This will be my 5th year teaching here at Trexler Middle and in North Carolina; however, I have been working in the public school system since 2009 as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA tech). I was working 1:1 with students with disabilities ranging from Autism to Down Syndrome as well as other physical and/or cognitive disabilities. I graduated with a Master's degree in Education in 2018 with a certificate concentration in Autism. I was a classroom teacher in Massachusetts for two years, working with students with various behaviors and then in a life skills classroom setting. I loved being able to teach my students about social emotional coping strategies as well as preparing them with various vocational skills and volunteer opportunities within their communities.
I will be teaching across all grade level content areas, 6th, 7th and 8th.
I am very much looking forward to what this 2024-2025 school year has to offer us all as we learn and grow from each other, bringing our own unique learning styles, likes and interests to the classroom!
