I was born and raised in Massachusetts! I moved to Jacksonville, North Carolina in August of 2020. It was one of the best and spontaneous decisions I have ever made! I live with my wife, daughter and son. I am enjoying all the fun activities for children in the area, as well as the bike trails, beautiful parks and playgrounds.
This will be my second year teaching here at Trexler; however, I have been in the public school systems since 2009 as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA tech). I was working 1:1 with students with disabilities ranging from Autism to Down Syndrome as well as other physical and/or cognitive disabilities. I graduated with a Master's degree in Education in 2018 with a certificate concentration in Autism. I was a classroom teacher in Massachusetts for two years working with students with various behaviors and then in a life skills classroom setting. I loved being able to teach my students about social emotional coping strategies as well as preparing them with various vocational skills and volunteer opportunities within their communities.
Last year, I taught in the ECGC 6th grade classroom here at TMS. It was a successful year and I am very much looking forward to what this 2021-2022 school year will bring!
