Shannon Cetinkaya

Hello Eagles!  My name is Shannon Cetinkaya and I am the School Social Worker for Carolina Forest International Elementary School. This is my fourth year at CFIES and I am so happy to be part of a great team that helps to create a safe, caring and inclusive school environment for all students. My primary role at CFIES is to alleviate barriers that prevent a student from meeting his or her full academic potential.  I am at CFIES on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am-4:00 pm and on Fridays from 12:30pm-4:00pm.

Small groups and Lunch Bunch groups

Caregiver support

Peer mediation

Topics we explore:  Some topics that I cover in my groups, lessons, and sessions can include:  respect, empathy, friendship skills, social skills, kindness, leadership, identifying feelings, overcoming challenges and traumas, self-esteem, self-love, coping skills, and so much more!
