Mrs. Erica Boone

Hello and thank you for visiting my page. In August 2016, after almost 16 years as an RN, I began teaching health science courses at Jacksonville High School. I spent one semester at Southwest High School (the Spring after Hurricane Florence) and returned to JHS for the 19-20 school year before starting my new journey with Onslow Virtual School in 20-21. I grew up and attended school in the Richlands area until going to the NC School of Science & Math to complete high school. I returned to Onslow County to complete my associate degree in nursing through Coastal Carolina Community College, pursued my bachelor's degree through UNCW, and ultimately obtained my master's degree from the University of Phoenix. My background includes 5 years of ear, nose, & throat private practice, 5 years of public health, and 6 years of community case management. I still work as a part-time nurse educator for an online university.

I met and married my forever love, my wonderful husband Mike, in 2015 and together we have 5 beautiful children, ranging in age from 25 years old to 5 years old (2 girls, 3 boys) as well as one dog, Princess (a Havashu). We love our church, good food, good movies, vacations, and pretty much anything we can do as a family.

I believe in the importance of education and having fun. I look forward to helping you/your young adult have fun while learning about the various opportunities that are available in the ever-changing, but still wonderful, world of health care.
