Mrs. Chelsea Bernetski

Hello Jacksonville High School! 

Hi, I'm a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and a Master's degree in Instructional Technology. I've taught at various schools in NC and VA, including North Pitt High School, Bethel NC; Smith Middle School, Chapel Hill NC; Brighton Elementary School, Portsmouth VA; and Swansboro Middle School, in Swansboro, NC. I was also an Instructional Coach at Trexler Middle School.

In my previous roles, I taught courses such as OccPrep, Curriculum Assistance, Inclusion, and a self-contained class for 6th graders. In Onslow I taught 8th-grade Math, AVID, and Support for Intervention, earning recognition as AVID Teacher of the Year at the district level in 2020-2021. Later, I served as an Instructional Coach and received the School-Level Certified Employee of the Year award in 2022-2023 during my time at Trexler.
