NC Report Card
North Carolina School Report Card are released for every public school in North Carolina.
Dear Stateside Parent:
For several years, the State of North Carolina and the Department of Public Instruction have provided you with the North Carolina School Report Card. Our faculty and staff are pleased with the progress that we have made since opening in August of 2009. Your child's teachers and the staff members at Stateside Elementary are continually striving to ensure achievement for every child. This report card gives you an indication of our performance for the 2011-2012 school year. In addition, it shows you the areas in which we continue to strive for excellence.
This report card includes important information about school and student performance, class sizes, attendance, school safety, school facilities, instructional resources, and teacher quality. There is also information on how Stateside Elementary measured against federal Annual Measurable Objectives, and the number of suspensions and expulsions in our school. Report card data are available for our school, our school district, and for the state's education system as a whole. We encourage you to look at the report cards of our school district and those of other districts in the state to see the breakthroughs that we are making with our students in Onslow County.
The numbers on the school report card are only part of the picture. This year, Stateside Elementary has written a new three year strategic plan. Our goals include implementing the North Carolina Standard Course of Study based on Common Core and Essential Standards with fidelity and continuing with the implementation of research based programs. Stateside Elementary will also continue to add to our student enriching opportunities, focus on service learning, healthy child initiatives and digital citizenship. As an IMPACT School of National Pride, we are moving forward with PATH initiatives, patriotism, arts, technology and humanities.
We are also proud of the communication and collaboration among all of the schools in our feeder district. This effort will improve the educational experience of the students in our entire district. In addition to our strategic planning process, our staff continues to work diligently to involve parents more purposefully in the operation of our school. We hope that you will be a part of that process.
The report cards are available on the Report Card Web site at www.ncreportcards.org. Look at our school's full report card at this web site, or read the two-page summary, called the Report Card Snapshot that is available. Our school district's report card can also be found on the Report Card Web site.
