Carolina Forest International Elementary began the transformation into a global learning environment in 2012. Our values were established and still remain strong today. We incorporate our postive behavior system by defining what we do (SOAR) on a daily basis - Be Safe; Orderly, Accountable, and Respectful.  These values set the foundational tone for building a comprehensive framework to guide planning (to include our school-wide strategic plan), teaching, assessments, and culture.  In 2016, Carolina Forest was named the first elementary NCDPI "model" Global Ready School! To learn about this status, click here. CFIE's strategic planning team and CFIE staff further defined what global learning means at our school. Global learning is defined as "Bringing the world into the classroom by TAKING ACTION to CONNECT locally, nationally, and internationally with REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCES to INFLUENCE POSITIVE CHANGES worldwide."
