What is the Science and Engineering Fair?

  • Science Fairs provide an opportunity for students, 3rd through 12th grades, who are interested in science and technology to pursue their personal areas of interest and to display their research as a presentation in a public competitive forum.

How can I participate?

  • Students are selected by completing an individual or group Science Fair project. Individual teachers narrow participation in the contest through classroom-level activities. Those students who are selected from their class will then compete in a school-level contest. Those students who win at the school-level will then represent TMS at the county-level contest. Students who place at the county-level competition will have the opportunity to represent Onslow County Schools at the Regional Science Fair with a possibility to move to higher levels based on their placement at regionals.
