• Senior year is an exciting time.  Students are about to embarq on the next phase of their life but before they go there are a lot of exciting events in which to participate.  Some of those include: 1. Senior Trip (deposits for the annual trip to Disney World usually begin in September.  The total cost is projected to be about $650.00 not including spending money and food) Delayed due to Covid 19 restrictions

2, Senior Portraits  - this takes place in July with a make-up date in late September or early October. Delayed due to Covid 19 restrictions

3.Cap and Gown orders are taken in October.  Students planning to participate in graduation MUST order a cap, gown, and diploma at a minimum.  Students not participating in graduation MUST still order a diploma.  The approximate cost of the cap, gown, and diploma is $60.00 if ordered with the  bulk class order in October.  These items becoming excreasing more expensive the later the order is placed and can exceed $100.00 if ordered after January of the graduation year.

    4. Homecoming Week - various activities occur this week including the crowing of a king (at the Powder Puff game) and a queen (at the homecoming football game). Additionally, seniors can participate in a breakfast at Golden Corral and a lunch from Smithfileds (cost of this is $10.00 each or $20.00 for both meals).

    5.  Several fundraising activities take place in which seniors are expected to participate.  Money raised goes to pay for expenses related to graduation including flowers, cake, finger-food, punch, and valedictorian and salutatory medals.  Examples of the fundraisers are Mr. and Miss Southwest pageant, Womanless Beauty Pageant, and concession stand for football games.

    6. Cap and Gown pictures are taken in late January or Feburary.  These pictures will form the composite senior picture frame that hangs in the front hallway of the school.  There is no make-up day for these pictures and they do not have to be purchased in order to be included in the group picture.
