Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Dawn Pelletier

  • In my role as the school's academically/intellectually gifted specialist, I support the efforts of our school community toward helping students achieve their full potential.  Our program provides enrichment opportunities to gifted students and nurturing experiences to help students develop critical thinking skills.

I feel fortunate to serve two of Onslow County's elementary schools, Meadow View and Southwest, as their gifted education specialist.  Teaching and learning are two of my passions, and I love that my work with students still offers so many rewards and challenges after more than 25 years.

My ties to the community are strong, having lived here since 1994.  My husband and I are the proud parents of one daughter.  When I'm not at school, I love spending time at home with family.
