Ms. Carla Bradshaw

Dear Parents,

    I am very excited to be a part of the Jacksonville Commons Elementary School community.  I began my career in education 21 years ago after several years of working in the business sector.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Mount Olive College, married, and began raising my family.  During my daughter's elementary years I became interested in a former dream of being an educator.  I began volunteering at JCE and decided that education was my true passion.  I received my license in elementary education from UNC-W.  I taught Kindergarten and Second grade for seven years here at JCE. I then decided to blend my love of administration and education and pursue my Master's Degree in School Administration.  I graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2008 and began as the Assistant Principal at Hunters Creek Elementary in August of that year. In 2011, I was transferred to Swansboro High School where I served as an assistant principal for three years and most recently served as the Assistant Principal at White Oak High School for eight years.  I am thrilled to serve as a principal at the first school I worked at and where I have so many fond memories.  I look forward to making many more.  I am honored to work with your children and this staff and want you to feel free to contact me with your questions and concerns.
