Hello Blue Creek Bronco Families!

My name is Cheryl Twigger and I am humbled and honored to be returning to serve as your Assistant Principal at Blue Creek Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. I have been an educator for 19 years and have loved every minute of it! I started as a Kindergarten teacher in Iredell County and have since worked in Guilford and Carteret Counties before coming to Onslow County 7 years ago. I am an elementary teacher at heart and have had the privilege of teaching all grades, kindergarten through fifth grade. 

I am married to a former Marine, who now serves as a K9 officer at Camp Lejeune. We are the proud parents of one son, who finishes middle school this year! I have three fur babies, a 110 Bernedoodle named Gunner, a 4-month-old Bernese Mountain named Lucy, and an eight-pound Maltipoo named Scout.

I look forward to our year together! It is an absolute honor to be a part of your child's educational journey!
