Janice Barbee

I am an original Monarch and started working here before the building was even finished.  I came to Northside from Southwest High School.  This will be my 43rd year of employment with Onslow County Schools.  I actually retired 9 years ago, but I missed working with students so much that I asked to come back part-time.  I grew up in Duplin County and graduated from East Duplin High.  I received my B.A. in Psychology from UNCW and both my Master's of Science and M.A. Ed. degrees from ECU.  My favorite hobby is attending Northside sporting events and fine arts performances, but I also enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my teenage grandsons.  I hope to continue working here for a long time because once a Monarch--always a Monarch!!!
