S2S Overview
- Student 2 Student was developed in 2003 by the Military Child Coalition (MCEC) to provide immediate, positive peer support for incoming military students.
- It was quickly discovered that all new and transitioning students could benefit from the program (not just military).
- OCS has approximately 34.4% of its students that are military connected (over 9,300 students).
- 50% OCS students are considered highly mobile (state/county/district).
- NHS is 33.9% military connected (about 380 students).
Program Goals
- S2S helps to ease the transition and give incoming students the best possible experience.
- It students find their way on campus and in the community.
- Members explore and participate in giving back on campus and in the community.
- Members also develop leadership, character, and experience personal growth.

Program Requirements
- Members must maintain a 3.0 GPA at all times.
- Because S2S is an organization where consistent contributions by members are necessary for success, 90% attendance is expected.
- As a representative of NHS and S2S, members are expected to make smart, responsible decisions in school, at home, in the community and especially on social media. Violations will lead to probation or dismissal.
