Social Worker- Mrs. Canupp
Hello everyone! My name is Haley Canupp and I am the school Social Worker at NBMS. My role on campus is to be an advocate and support for your child's success.
Who is Mrs. Canupp?
- I graduated from UNCW with my BSW and a Minor in Psychology- Go Seahawks!
- I have two dogs that I love dearly!
- I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC.
- You will always see me in the morning with coffee in hand.
- I am in my third year of working in the school system!
My roles on campus include:
1. Assist students to overcome barriers to school attendance
2. CHEW! (Children Healthy Eating on Weekends) - please let me know if you would like to join this program!
3. Assist in the development of problem solving skills, coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation
4. Refer/link families with community and school-based resources to promote student success
5. Individual check-ins to support student success
