I am an Onslow County native. I attended Swansboro schools through fifth grade, then spent two years in private school before moving to Richlands and graduating from Richlands High School. Being a sports enthusiast, I played volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball throughout my school career. My husband of twenty-four years, Michael Roed, teaches at Richlands High School and coaches the boys and girls high school soccer teams. We have two grown children; our son Jordan is a graduate of NC State University, and our daughter Brooke is a senior at NCSU. I look forward to a fantastic school year at Trexler Middle ... GO FALCONS!!
