I began teaching at Carolina Forest Elementary in 2006. While at CFES, I taught kindergarten and first grade. I moved to Meadowview Elementary School in 2008, where I taught first, second, and third grades while part of their faculty. I earned a Master's Degree in Education while part of the MVES faculty from UNCW in 2013. Later I taught seventh and eighth grade ELA, Math, and Science as an Exceptional Children's teacher at Southwest Middle School. While part of the Summersill Elementary faculty, I taught Exceptional Children from kindergarten through fifth grade. I moved to Trexler Middle School and taught Exceptional Children ELA and Math to sixth graders. Then I became certified to teach ELA to regular education students and have been teaching sixth grade ELA. I have taught kindergarten to eighth grade as an EC teacher and kindergarten to sixth grade as a regular education teacher.
