Spanish I, II

Education

After graduating from Southwest High School, I enrolled at Coastal Carolina Community College. While there, I earned my AA degree and applied for admission to UNC Wilmington. After being accepted, I continued to pursue my education and received a BA in Spanish and my K - 12 NC teaching certificate.

Experience

After graduating from UNCW, I was hired to teach Spanish at the elementary level. I spent 3 years at Clyde Erwin Elementary, where I taught grades K - 5. After the Spanish program was discontinued at the elementary level, I taught 5th grade as well as Remedial Math and Algebra IA at the high school level. After being presented with the opportunity to teach Spanish again, I accepted a position at White Oak High, where I spent the next 18 years teaching Spanish I and II. I am proud to say that I had the privilege of being a Stallion once more. I spent 7 years teaching Spanish I and II and giving back to the community that means so much to my family. This is my second year at OVS and I am excited to see what God is going to do in and through me, as I get to know the students, parents and staff. 

Bio

I am a product of the Southwest district schools. I attended Blue Creek Elementary and graduated from THE Southwest High School. My wife, daughter and I are proud residents of this community and we love taking part in the rich Stallion tradition that continues to this day.
