Education

Mr. Story holds a Bachelor of Music (with high honors) as well as a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Tennessee. His post-graduate studies include Orchestral Conducting and Oratorio Chorus.

Experience

Mr. Story has been a conductor of church, community, and youth choruses for nearly 30 years. He has been a full-time high school chorus teacher for 20 years, and has also taught Music Appreciation and Guitar. Mr. Story has also been an instructor at Carteret Community College, a composer of handbell music for Handbell Magazine, as well as a speaker at the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators.

Bio

Born in Nashville, TN, Mr. Story grew up in Knoxville, TN and attended a local high school there. He is married and has six children, all musicians, but pursuing other interests as well. Mr. Story plays guitar, has studied 'cello, and has worked a variety of jobs during his college years--landscaper, bellboy, printer, and exterminator.
