B.S. Mathematics Education
Welcome to my teacher page. On this page you can find almost everything you need to be successful in my class. I have been teaching in the Onslow County School sytem for 8 years. I spent my first 7 years teaching math at Richlands High School and have tranistioned to the Onslow Viitural School at the start of this year. Before I began teaching, I earned my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics Education from NC State University in 2013. I am a graduate of Richlands High School c/o 2008! I choose to begin my journey in education back in my home community to pass on the life lessons that I learned growing up to ensure the youth of Onslow County continues a tradition of strength and perseverance. I have coached football, track, and wrestling for RHS. I also am continuing to serve as the Head Wrestling Coach of RHS. I am a strong believer in the education of our youth is essential to the growth of community, state, and global future.
Message to Parents
As we near the end of the grading period, please make sure you are staying up to date on your child's grade in my class. Most failures are due to lack of completing work and missing test or quiz grades. I allow students to complete test if they are past due but if homework assignments are not being completed on time they will recieve a zero for their grade. Please log in to powerschool or have your child show you your grade. I can be contacted via email at email@example.com or by text message at (910) 787-1733.

We will discuss the unit 2 study guide tomorrow in class, if you have any specific questions from the Unit 2 Practice Test (posted earlier this week) I can go over those problems with you. The test will be emailed to everyone sometime on Thursday.
Students last semester were given the opportunity to select a grade or take a pass code (PC-19 or WC-19) for their classes. This is no longer in effect and students this school year will receive a numeric grade that is in PowerSchool.
If you are not completing work or attending live sessions or communicating with me for an extended period of time you are at risk of being dropped from the class. Once you are dropped, I'm not sure if it is an easy process to get back into the class. So please do not let it get to that point. Ideally you need to attend live sessions in order to know how to complete the assignments. Make sure you are making this a priority to get your work done, otherwise you may have to start the course again in the next semester. This has been an issue for several students already this semester.
- If you have a smart phone but do not own a ti-84 calculator at home there is an app called taculator graphing calculator. It does offer a free version that you can customize, but you can pay for upgrades also.
