Mrs. Penny Gentry

Welcome to 5th grade at Southwest Elementary School! I am proud to say this is my 24th year teaching and my 12th year as part of the SWE Family! Let me just say how very excited I am to have each one of your children in my classroom.

This year I will be teaching your student Language Arts and Social Studies. My classroom number is 911. It is located passed the library and cafeteria, on the last hallway. It is the third classroom on the right. 

A little about myself: I am from New Bern, North Carolina. I have been married for 41 years and have three wonderful children. My daughter Virginia is the oldest. She lives in Gig Harbor, Washington, not too far from Seattle. My oldest son, Gregory lives near Shreveport, Louisiana. My youngest son, Alexander, lives in Greenville, North Carolina near East Carolina University, which is the Alma Mater for both me and my husband. My husband Garry is a local businessman, who is also a former teacher and coach. We have EIGHT Grandchildren.
