Mrs. Courtney Koonce

My name is Courtney Koonce. I am 35 years old and this is my 13th year teaching. My husband’s name is Clay Koonce, and we live in Richlands with our three boys. Hudson is a third grader, and our four year old twins, Holden and Hunter, are in pre-school.  We also have a very rambunctious German Shorthair Pointer that keeps us very busy. We enjoy spending time together as a family doing things outdoors. We have a camper and a boat, so we like to go on family adventures or little trips where we can have fun away from home.

Although I like spending time with my family, I really like my "ME" time as well. Some of my favorite things to do when I am by myself is to read using my tablet, sleep in on the weekends (if my children let me), garden, and distress furniture. I like to stay busy or I get bored, so I seem to always have some sort of project going on around my house.

My favorite color is black.

My favorite drink used to be coffee, but recently changed to sweet tea.

My favorite candy is really any kind of chocolate.

My favorite place to eat in Jacksonville is probably Miyabi Jr.
