Mrs. Courtney Koonce

My name is Courtney Koonce. I am 36 years old and this is my 14th year teaching. My husband’s name is Clay Koonce, and we live in Richlands with our three boys. Hudson is a fourth grader, and our twins, Holden and Hunter, start Kindergarten this year.   We also have a very rambunctious German Shorthair Pointer that keeps us very busy. We enjoy spending time together as a family doing things outdoors. We have a camper and a boat, so we like to go on family adventures or little trips where we can have fun away from home.

Although I like spending time with my family, I really like my "ME" time as well. Some of my favorite things to do when I am by myself is to read using my tablet, sleep in on the weekends (if my children let me), garden, and distress furniture. I like to stay busy or I get bored, so I seem to always have some sort of project going on around my house.

My favorite color is black.

My favorite drink is a frozen hazelnut latte with an extra shot of expresso.

My favorite candy is really any kind of chocolate.

My favorite place to eat in Jacksonville is probably Miyabi Jr.
