I am a Richlands native and I absolutely love this little community. I attended Richlands Elementary, Trexler Middle, as well as Richlands High School. This is my 16th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. I am now in 3rd! :) I have an 18 year-old son, who I absolutely adore, he is a freshman in college this year! I enjoy teaching, going to the beach, shopping, reading, and my favorite season is the Fall!

Education: I graduated from Richlands High School in 2002. I then went to Coastal Carolina Community College for 2 years and received an Associate of Arts Degree. After my associates I transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary education and a minor in psychology. I continue my education through teaching your children every day!

Experience: I did my internship at Parkwood Elementary in Jacksonville NC with first graders. After a half year internship, I graduated from UNCW and began teaching at Northwoods Elementary. I taught first grade at Northwoods for two years. Then, I transferred to Richlands Primary, where I taught kindergarten for six years. I also taught 2nd grade for 4 years. I am currrently in my 4th year of teaching 3rd grade. I love the little ones and my job is both challenging and rewarding!
