Hi and welcome to First Grade, 

My name is Tina Stayer and I am a transplanted Yankee from Pennsylvania.  I came to North Carolina as a Marine and remained with my husband and daughter.  I served 6 years in the Marine Corps where I met my husband who retired from the Marine Corps. 

We have one daughter who is  in Grad School at MUSC.  She has plans to become a geneticist and help find a cure for a genetic disease or atleast a way to help ease the symptoms.

Prior to teaching besides my time as a Marine I worked as a Teacher's Assistant.  Spending one year in second grade and two in a classroom for the severe and profoundly disabled. While working as a Teacher's Assistant I decided to enroll in UNCW where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

I love being at Morton and have been part of the Morton family for ten years.  I look forward to working with you and your child.
