Mrs. Hudgins

Hello! I will be teaching 5th Grade ELA and Social Studies this year. Here is a little bit more about me and what we will be learning this year!

I earned my Master's in Education from the University of Virginia in 2008, and my undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in 2005. I worked at the college level for many years, and became a substitute and volunteer when my children started at Dixon Elementary. I am involved in our community through coaching various sports and our church.

I am looking forward to teaching our CKLA units, writing and American History and Government through reading and class projects. Each student will be participating in a 40 Book Challenge for the year. They can read books from our classroom, your home collection, the school library or you can visit the Onslow County Library. I encourage everyone to have a library card!
