Ms. Georgette Ward

Greetings Southwest Middle Community!!!

It’s a new school year filled with excitement and MUCH Success.  My name is Ms. Georgette Ward. I am a new teacher at Southwest Middle School teaching 6^th and 7^th Grade Exceptional Children classes.  

I received my Associates Degree from James Sprunt Community College, Kenansville, North Carolina in 1993.  I attended Liberty University, Lynchburg VA and received a Bachelors in Psychology and Christian Counseling in 2010, a Master’s Degree in Human Services in 2012, and a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling in 2013.   In the Spring of 2024, I will be attending East Carolina University to obtain the credentials to qualify me to be a Certified Special Education Teacher.  

I am a proud mother of three adult daughters (31, 30, and 26 years of age) as well as a Nonna (grandmother) of five granddaughters (9, 8, 6, 3, and 2 years of age).  I have resided in Jacksonville, NC for almost 9 years.

 I love education and truly have my share of degrees.  While I enjoy the services and stewardship of life and counseling, motivation and encouragement are two of the many gifts that I enjoy.   As a class, we have agreed that we will all take accountability as well as push me to teach and I would love them to learn. 

Parents, thank you so much for entrusting your precious gifts to me.  I am honored and grateful for this beautiful journey. 

These are some of my favorite things: Mediterranean Pita Chips, Celsius Water, Chocolate with Caramel and Nuts, Tofu, Salads, and Green Smoothies. I love and enjoy My Love, My Daughters, and My Granddaughters as well as My Family.  The beach, reading, journaling, cooking, counseling, and community activities.
