Miss Krystal Blackwood

Welcome to 5th Grade!

Teaching, for me, refers to a process of attending to individual needs, experiences and feelings while intervening so that learning is taking place, thus going beyond the given.

My name is Krystal Blackwood, born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, who is very family oriented and often goes above and beyond the call of duty ensuring work is done for the growth and betterment of my students and community at large. I am a people-person who believes that the sky isn't just the limit, but everyone can soar beyond. I am also a team player and a very creative individual. I enjoy family gatherings, journaling and excursions. Being a teacher has always been a life-long dream because it is that profession that enables you to mould the lives of children daily while making a difference.

I am a graduate of Sam Sharpe Teachers' College (Jamaica), obtaining a Bachelor's of Education in Elementary - specializing in Literacy Development. 

I look forward to great accomplishments in my learning community, while allowing my students to achieve all their goals both personally and academically.
