I was born and raised in Wilson, NC but have been a Carteret County resident since 2003.I have worked in the classroom for many
years including PreK, elementary, middle and high school.
I have a Bachelors degree from Mountain State University and am currently attending ECU…GO PIRATES!
I am excited to teach ELA and watch the students learn and grow!

Novel Study and Literature Circles will be an exciting part of ELA over the next few months!

Warm-ups are done in class daily. They are due on Fridays of each week. Students are given ample time to complete warm-ups in class. However, if they do not finish in class, it is the students' responsibility to complete at home before Friday.

Please check students' planner for homework assignments daily.
Students are expected to complete 2 I-Ready assessments weekly. This is a major grade and it is important for these assessments to be completed by Sunday night of each week.
