Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Engineering Course. The world around us, as we know it, is changing rapidly and education is responding and adapting to these changes. The way in which students learn and the rising necessity to be prepared for today's workforce opportunities are also shifting. Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) related courses expose students to a variety of 21^st Century skills that are increasingly demanding and desirable in future careers. Among these skills are adaptability, complex communications, nontraditional problem-solving, and self-management systems of thinking.

This CTE course specifically focuses on Technology Engineering and Design principles. Students will work daily, in collaborative teams, to develop their knowledge and abilities utilizing various tools including multimedia applications while performing rigorous hands-on activities through STEAM labs. Students will explore their interests and aptitudes that may be suited for a wide range of post-secondary careers.
