Ms. Virginia Dillahunt

Hello all! I am Ms. Virginia Dillahunt, (I will answer to either name whichever is easier for the littles). I am so excited about being your child’s teacher’s assistant this year, alongside Ms. Dee. I am looking forward to helping your child learn and grow, as well as, forming new, positive relationships with classmates and teachers.

It is my goal to work with students and their families to make this experience fun and adventurous with lots of learning embedded within. I envision quickly learning what works best for each child and, as a team, we can make this school year GREAT!!

All About Me

I am locally born and raised in Maysville, NC, but currently reside in Hubert, NC. I have dreamed of working with children since I was 8 years old and am proud to say that I am living out that dream. While I do not have any children of my own, there is a special place in my heart for all the children I have encountered throughout my life.

Education/Experience

I have my HS diploma from Jones Senior High School and my associate degree from Coastal Carolina Community College in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children since 2009 as a lead teacher in the childcare setting, where I currently work part-time and during the summer breaks. Summersill Elementary School has been my teaching home for the past two years, and I’m looking forward to year three being just as exciting as they were.
