Mrs. Danielle Lee

      Hello families! It is such a pleasure to be teaching your child this school year!! I am originally from the mountains of Boone, NC, where I met my college sweetheart.  My husband and I were married on December 19, 2009 in a blizzard that produced two feet of snow.  I feel very blessed to be living in Jacksonville (where my husband is originally from) and to be teaching second grade at Summersill Elementary.

       I completed my first two years of college at Applachian State University (Go Apps!!) and finished my Bachelor of Elementary Education at UNC Wilmington.

      This is my 12th year of teaching.  My first year, I taught 4th grade at Jacksonville Commons Elementary and looped up to 5th grade with the same group of students.  I taught 5th grade for seven years!! The door opened up for me to teach at Jacksonville Commons Middle as all signs pointed to this being the next step in my career. I spent 4 years teaching 6th grade math, which I absolutely loved! 

      I recently moved closer to home where I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Summersill Elementary. 

      Things I love to do include hiking, singing, scrapbooking, going on walks/jogs, woodworking, and reading.  My husband and I have a beautiful little girl, Madelyn Lee, who keeps surprising us every day.  I am looking forward to involving your child in all of her milestones as they occur. 

      It brings me great joy to be a positive influence in children's lives and I look forward to working with your child! We are going to have a GREAT year!
