Mr. Dale McCallister

A little about myself.  I am an Onslow County native (or as close to one as you can be). I graduated from Swansboro HS, received my BA in Mathematics with a concentration in Education from UNCW. Later I received my MS in Counselor Education from ECU and I am currently working on my PhD in Developmental Psychology at Liberty University Online. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in N.C.  I taught math at Northside HS for 8 years, followed by 2 years at Jacksonville HS.  Upon completing my counseling degree, I transferred to New Bern HS, where I was a school counselor for the last 10 years. People often ask me why I don't switch to strictly private practice.  My response is that I enjoy working with the students on a day-to-day basis, to help them grow and learn how to become the adult that they wish to be. Seeing students grow into mature adults is a reward worth more than money.
