My name is Rebecca Rue and I am the Speech Language Pathologist here at Parkwood. I started here in January of 2017 and I absolutely love and adore all the staff and students here.
I graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with my masters in Communication Disorders in May 2015 and received my Certification of Clinical Competence in June 2016. I moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina in August 2015 then shortly after to Wilmington in July 2016. I now live in Winnabow and travel to Parkwood every day. A long commute, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Parkwood has been my home for the last 5 years and I have gone through all of my greatest adventures here. Getting engaged, getting married, 3 pregnancies and 2 houses!
I have an awesome husband who I met in grad school and we have 2 children, Kash & Gianna, and 2 dogs, Mia & Tito. We are sport fanatics and love the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Penn State.
I have worked with children since I was 18 when I was a Head Toddler Teacher at the YMCA and knew I wanted to get into the field of helping children. I love that I get to interact and teach children to become masters with their speech!
