Mrs. Evelyn Bruce

Hello! 

My name is Evelyn Bruce, and I am thrilled to be part of the Northside team.

I consider myself a local now after living in Onslow County for over 15 years. I graduated from Richlands High School in 2017. I then attended Coastal Carolina Community College and earned my English, Secondary Education degree at Appalachian State University.  

It has always been a dream of mine to be a teacher. I decided to follow in the footsteps of some of my biggest inspirations and chase my passion for teaching English. I wanted the opportunity to make the English classroom fun again and show students that they can be readers and writers in a day and age when it seems so obsolete to many of them. My hope is to teach my students to see themselves and the modern world through the lens of the literature we explore in class.
