I have been teaching for 5 years. I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. This is my 2nd year at Onslow County. The first 3 years of teaching I was in Wake County, where I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Along with teaching, I have been a curriculum writer through the YMCA for summer school, and have tutored in grades 3-5. 

I am originally from Raleigh; my father and older brother still live in the Raleigh area. My father is in law enforcement and my brother is Civil Affairs in the Army. I currently live in Hampstead with my fiancé, who is in MARSOC. We have 2 dogs, a 13-year-old Bluetick and 4-year-old German Shepard. My 3rd dog is a German Shepard Rottwiller mix that lives with my father. I love being outdoors, anything from hiking to yard work!
