Mrs. Lorraine Rudd

Hi! I am Lorraine Rudd and I teach 5th grade at QCE. I am married and have four grown children. I also have two grandsons, Cooper and Henry. We have two more grandchildren on the way, Bennett and Bailee. I enjoy the beach, reading on the beach, golf and cooking. I have ten years teaching experience. I taught Kindergarten for eight years, 6th grade for one year and this is my second year teaching 5th grade. I love the 5th grade!

I was born and raised in Ohio. My husband scooped me up and swept me away to experience the military life which I loved! When he retired from the USAF in 2006, we moved to eastern TN where our four children graduated high school and flew away to live their own lives, successfully so. (None of them returned home, thankfully ;-)) I attended ETSU and completed my degree around the same time in 2012. I taught several years in TN and then my husband and I decided to move to New Bern where I also taught kindergarten. We found our dream home in Stella a couple of years later and moved in 2021 which led me to my other new home, QCE last year. I absolutely love teaching at QCE!

I am very excited about this new school year. Get ready for lots of good fun and work with very interesting and engaging lessons!
