Welcome Ponies!

Hello! My name is Jessica Church and I am the Exceptional Children's Adaptive Teacher here at Southwest Elementary.

Our family recently relocated back to Onslow County from living in Bahrain for the last 2.5 years.

I am from New Jersey, and the military has moved us around over the years, but I have been an Adaptive Teacher in Onslow County since 2014. I previously worked as an EC Teacher in Beaufort and Wilkes County, in a resource room setting. This is my 10th year as an EC Teacher, and my sixth year working with students in the adaptive curriculum. I graduated from Kean University, in New Jersey, with my BA in Special Education. 

Our class is lucky to have so many people in our room daily. Teacher assistant, Mrs. Jackson, and Ms. Armstrong, will also be working alongside us in class. We have great related service staff this year as well!
