Hi Everyone! My name is Michelle (Shelly) Alford and this is my 23rd year in education. I am very excited about another virtual year of teaching. 

I am a mother and a grandmother. I love my family and enjoy every moment we get to spend together. 

Regarding the educational background - I graduated from UNCW for both my BAed and my MAed. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy learning from the kids every year. 

I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade.  I have also been an Instructional Coach for K-6th grade. Having a mixed grade experience has given me a great tool belt full of so many tools that I can use throughout the years. I am so grateful for all of the education and training that I have received and l look forward to continuing the learning process.
