Hello! I am so excited about teaching 7th grade ELA at HCMS for the second year! More importantly, I am thrilled about being your teacher. This is going to be a great year learning lots of things and new adventures, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, but first let me tell you a little about me.

I graduated from East Carolina University and then received my graduate degree in English with an emphasis on education from Grand Canyon University. Before coming to HCMS, I was a community college instructor. 

I have lived in eastern North Carolina for over 30 years. My husband and I have four children and seven grandchildren. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family more than anything else. I also enjoy cooking and going for walks on the beach.
