Mrs. Melanie McGuire

Hi everyone! My name is Melanie McGuire and I am the Title 1/Instructional Coach. This is my third year being a part of the Eagles family.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), and I earned my Master's degree in Language & Literacy from UNC-Wilmington.  I previously taught first grade from 2010-2017 at Bell Fork Elementary and then I taught third grade from 2017-2021 at Swansboro Elementary.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two girls, Madeline and Alaina. Madeline will be in third grade and Alaina is in PreK! We have six fur babies, two dogs, Rammy and Jules, and four cats, Casper, Maxine, Squish, and Sundae. Life is pretty busy nowadays!

I am looking forward to supporting the staff and students throughout the year in growing as learners!
