Mrs. Daniken

Hello!  I'm Mrs. Daniken.I was born and raised in a village in central/southern Illinois.  My house and school were surrounded by cornfields and farms. Fun fact: my husband's family owns a Christmas tree farm in southern Illinois.

I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. After I graduated high school, I got married and ran away with my Marine and started a family. I have two children, Liam and Lilly. I also have a German Shepherd named Paxton and a Bull Terrier named Lucy.

The Marine Corps has taken us from Illinois, to NC, to Okinawa, back to NC, to Virginia, to Mississippi, and then back to NC. My husband retired from the Marine Corps last year, so we have settled our family in Maysville. This is my fifth full year at SWE. I'm so excited to establish some roots here at Southwest Elementary School! Go ponies!
