    Welcome Back, Students!

It is a great feeling to have Clyde Erwin occupied with students again! Please remember to wear sneakers and comfortable attire (no skirts or dresses) on PE day. Students are required to wear a mask, maintain their 6-foot distance with one another, and will not share equipment with other students during PE class, whether inside or outside.

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Brandon Sanfilippo

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health from Canisius College of Buffalo, New York in 2012. Also at Canisius, I completed my masters degree in Sport Administration in 2013.

I made the decision to pursue a career in teaching physical education and health near the end of my high school career and have never looked back! Throughout my four years of undergraduate studies, I worked with students of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds in the Buffalo, NY area. From teaching physical education in schools to helping with social skill development at communitiy centers, I have had the privledge to meet student needs in many rewarding ways.

While completing my masters degree in 2013, I continued to teach at a local school district in Jamestown, NY. I also completed an internship with the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena regarding my masters degree. While there I served as the Sports League Intern which included responsibilities such as developing and maintaining sports leagues and tournaments, assisting with public events, and helping with everyday administrative tasks.

I have been teaching Elementary Physical Education here at Clyde Erwin Elementary since fall of 2013. I have coached STRIDE & Robotics in the past and have been involved in numerous school committees, such as the talent show and school fundraisers. Currently, I am the PBIS director.

Growing up in the southern tier of New York State, skiing and sledding have defined my childhood. Although I miss the occasional fun in the snow, I am glad to have that in my past! I moved to Jacksonville, NC in 2013 after accepting a teaching position here at Clyde Erwin Elementary school. When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling, playing a multitude of sports including basketball, baseball/softball, and tennis, and enjoying the outdoors.
