Ms. Vikki Childress

Hello Mustang families and friends!

It is truly an honor to be a part of the Morton Elementary School family and community. Morton Elementary has a rich history of academic excellence and community support. I am excited to continue those traditions.

I have lived and worked in eastern North Carolina my entire life.  I graduated from Lakewood High School (in Sampson County).  I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). I taught high school history at Kinston High School, Farmville Central High School and Jacksonville High School.  I served as an assistant principal at Southwest Middle School and Northside High School.  I have lead Hunters Creek Middle School, Swansboro Middle School and Dixon High School as principal. I also worked at the district level as the Director of Virtual Programs where I assisted high school students through virtual programs and credit opportunities.  

I have been a resident of Onslow County for close to 20 years. I have two adult daughters who graduated from Northside High School. In my spare time, I enjoy running and spending time with my family and our dogs!
