My name is Bryant York.  I am the Career Development Coordinator for Southwest High School and Southwest Middle School.  I have been involved in Career and Technical Education for over 25 years.  I completed my Undergraduate and Masters Studies from East Carolina University, earning a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering and a Masters in School Administration.  In addition, I attended Coastal Carolina Community College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Two of my proudest moments in life are my 2 daughters.  My oldest attends UNCW and my youngest attends CCCC, both of my daughters work for local businesses in Onslow County.

I started my educational career as a lateral entry high school Architecture and Engineering teacher.  I have worked in different school districts within the State of North Carolina.  I have served as an Instructional Support Coordinator at the Central Office level, Career Development Coordinator, Career & Technical Education Department Chairperson and on the School Leadership Team at different schools, and as the Information Technology and Engineering Academy Director.

My military career started shortly after high school when I joined the Army National Guard.  While in the North Carolina National Guard, I attended Officer Candidate School and received my commission in 1992.  I held positions as a Platoon Leader and Detachment Commander. 

I am looking forward to this awesome opportunity here at Southwest High School.
