I graduated from WGU with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
This is my sixth year teaching Kindergarten! I love teaching kiddos to read! Previously, I taught fourth grade for four years at Morton Elementary. Prior to working at Morton, I taught third grade for one semester at another Onslow County School. During my training to become a teacher I spent time in a second grade classroom and did my student teaching in a fourth grade classroom.
I received the AVID teacher of the year award at our school during the 2015-2016 year. I am passionate about using AVID models to prepare our students for college success and their futures.
I am originally from Queens, New York. I have lived in Jacksonville for almost 15 years. My husband served in the Marines for 5 years. We were stationed here, and we fell in love with the community. I am the proud mother of two boys, in the 10th and 12th grade.
