Mrs. Ray

Hello! My name is Megan Ray and I teach 5th grade mathematics and science. I currently live in Hubert with my husband, Austin, who is a detective with Swansboro PD, our daughter, Charlotte, and our two fur babies, Bently and Noodle. When not teaching, we both enjoy spending time at the beach, traveling, or on our kayaks. 

I was born and raised in Richlands, NC and graduated from Southwest High School. I attended UNC Charlotte and obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Additionally, I attended UNC Greensboro and obtained a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I have been an educator since 2016.

I am honored to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! I am looking forward to guiding your child through a new and exciting journey in learning this year. In order to have an enjoyable year, my most important goal is to create a family of inquisitive scholars in my classroom. I am committed to creating an environment where your child is respected, trusted, and an essential part of our family of scholars. In order to achieve this goal, I have planned an engaging, fun, and challenging curriculum to support and foster learning.
