Mrs. Emily Satterfield

I am originally born and raised in Ohio but I joined the military and was stationed out at Cherry Point, NC. I met and married my husband out there and have been together for 13 years now. We have 3 amazing kiddos (12, 4, and 2).

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from the University of West Florida. After completing my degree, I worked with the U.S. Census Bureau as a Mathematical Statistician. I then graduated with my Master's of Arts in Teaching (Secondary Math) from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. This is my 3rd year of teaching. I have previously taught 7th grade math and high school and I am very excited to be back in the middle school classroom.

A little fun tid bit about me. I am a Disney fanatic and try to go at least once a year. I am also a huge Harry Potter nerd and my classroom definitely shows it. I also love to run obstacle course races such as Tough Mudders and Spartans. I also enjoy running the occasional 5k, 10k, and as of this year I have officially run my first half marathon.
