I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education at Valdosta State University in Valdosta Georgia. I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville,Tennessee to pursue my masters degree. I began teaching at Knox County schools in Knoxville Tennessee. I taught for a year and a half at the elementary level. I began teaching in Onslow county in 2002. I taught art at Hunters Creek Elementary for six years. I taught art at Meadow View Elementary for 13 years. I am currently in my 3rd year of teaching at Coastal Elementary.

I grew up in a small town in Georgia. My mother was always into the arts, which inspired me to become an artist as well as a teacher. Playing tennis was another hobby of mine that landed me a scholarship while I pursued my art education degree. My husband and I reside in Sneads Ferry and have been here for twenty one years. The community in Onslow county has brought many art experiences to life. I am very excited to share my art ability with the students at Coastal Elementary School. I hope to not only teach but inspire young artists.
