Mr. Kevin Barry

Hello! I am proud to be part of the third grade team at JCE. Born and raised in Trucksville, Pennsylvania, I graduated from King's College with a BA in Elementary and Special Education. I moved to North Carolina in 2014 in pursuit of my career and have been teaching at JCE ever since!

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and practicing and teaching music and art. I take advantage of opportunities to share these personal interests with my students.

I received my preparation for teaching third grade at an NCATE (National Council for Accrededation of Teacher Education) certified teacher education program in PA. As an undergraduate, I completed numerous observation requirements, co-teaching duties, and two highly-successful student teaching placements (one in third grade and one as a K-3 learning support teacher). I look forward to looking back at this year knowing that success reached everyone in the classroom.  I understand the importance and influence a teacher has on today's youth, and I hope to exceed your expectations.
